All vehicles are due back by 7pm on the return date. Our seasonal hours are M-F 9am-5pm and by appointment or chance only. If returning after hours, park and lock the vehicle and insert the keys into drop box at the main entry door. We inspect vehicles for damage and fuel deficiencies in order of return and will notify you via email of any discrepancies within 5 business days. To ensure a smooth vehicle return process, you will have the opportunity to fill out our pre-existing condition form prior to departure. We also encourage you to take pictures of the vehicle before departure and after return.

Appropriate loads for an inverter are those that consume small or modest amounts of power and are run for an extended period of time, or large loads, like a microwave, which run for a short amount of time.

It might be better to avoid roads where chains may be required. Fill your propane tank. It will minimize condensation inside the tank and help prevent vaporization problems in cold temperatures. Remember, though, that a forced air furnace, in addition to consuming propane, will draw up to seven amps of electricity while operating.
This could represent a considerable drain on the coach battery if electric hookups are not available. Look for ways to improve your RV’s ability to retain heat. Insulate the coach windows against the cold with heavy drapes or curtains.

Most people ask if I can explain the RV electrical system in simple to understand terms. The electrical system in your RV can seem complex and confusing until you have a basic understanding of how it works. Your RV actually has three separate electrical systems. We are primarily concerned with the volt DC and volt AC coach systems. The majority of campgrounds you go to will provide you with an external volt electric source to plug into.
The camper is a simple system and if you want to use your existing RV plug you just need to bring the male end with you and install it on the camper. You can google up the schematic for the wiring of the plug and just match it up.
We will get to that later. The first things you are going to accumulate are the necessities to make the ladies happy—water and power when you finally get settled in a nice camping spot in an RV park. We will talk about boondocking later on. Most RVs come with a foot power cable, but occasionally it is not long enough to get to the RV park power post. If you have an RV with 30 Amp electrical service, then you need a 30 Amp extension cord with the proper RV connectors already on it.
You are also urged to get an adapter that plugs into a regular volt receptacle and allows a 30 Amp RV plug to be connected to it. This adapter also can also be used while you at home to provide limited electrical power. I have found several instances where a newer park did not have any of the older 30 Amp receptacles.

Especially knowledge of your electrical system. Watt Is Power, Anyway? For example — a 5 amp DC light on a 12V circuit is burning 60 watts of power, enough to light up a room. But a 5 amp light on a V AC circuit is using watts, and likely lighting up the neighborhood.
If you want to measure and compare power, you need to do it in watts. Amps alone gets you just halfway there. Measuring Power Consumption Our little personal w heater reveals on its belly that it uses W of power. Our measurements with the Kill-A-Watt confirm this is almost spot on. The simplest and crudest way is to just flip it over and look. DC devices tend to be less consistently marked — they may tell you nothing at all, or just the fuse size they need 5 amps, for example — but only if something is wrong will that amount of current be drawn, blowing the fuse.
